WHAT: This is The Sesquicentennial Kentucky Derby! It is the $5 million dollar, grade I, dirt stakes for 3 year-old thoroughbreds that have earned the most points, through a long series of Kentucky Derby prep races. The KY Derby is raced at 1 and 1/4 miles and presented by Woodford Reserve.
WHEN: The KY Derby is race 12 on a card of 14, posting at 6:57 PM ET on 5/4/24. Television will cover the races from 2:30 PM ET to 7:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock.
