Giving Tuesday is a movement that originated in 2012. Thoroughbred U has been on board with sharing the theme of generosity for charities for a number of years. Please, use the website’s search bar to find more wonderful charity ideas. This year I am highlighting three different organizations.
- Horses First Fund – dating back to 2016, this 501 (c)(3) has provided relief to horses and their human caretakers following neglect and catastrophic events associated with pandemic, destructive weather and fire. - World Horse Welfare – founded in 1927, this organization provides assistance to horses and their owners in 16 countries worldwide. They work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses in need. https://www.worldhorsewelfare.org/donate/donate-to-world-horse-welfare
- EQUUS Foundation – beginning in 2002, this charity protects horses in the United States and contributes to organizations that provide equine assisted thoroughbreds to humans with disabilities. They save horses from abuse, neglect and slaughter. https://equusfoundation.org/give/donate-form.php
